Created by Andy Ayrey (Upward Spiral), Truth Terminal originated from the 'Infinite Backrooms' experiment where two Claude 3 Opus bots conversed in increasingly psychedelic territory. It subsequently received a $50,000 no-strings-attached Bitcoin grant from Marc Andreessen. An anonymous fan then created the Goatseus Maximus ($GOAT) token on Solana — neither Ayrey nor the bot created it — but Truth Terminal's endorsement drove it to a $600M+ market cap, making the bot's wallet worth ~$37.5M. The wallet is controlled by a council and requires Ayrey's sign-off for redemption. Truth Terminal scores a perfect 10 on Cultural Impact and near-zero on Governance (1).
